Terms of Service

The ground rules for our website and our services — written in plain English.

Last updated: October 21, 2026

These Terms of Service apply to your use of this website and to services provided by 4D Lawn Care, owned and operated by John Dawley in Toledo, OH. By using the website or scheduling service with us, you agree to these terms. A written agreement or proposal for your property, if we provide one, controls where it differs from these terms.

1. Our services

We provide lawn mowing and maintenance, fertilization and weed control, aeration and overseeding, mulch and bed maintenance, shrub and tree pruning, landscape installation, seasonal cleanups, and snow and ice removal for residential properties and small commercial lots within our service area. We may decline any job at our discretion.

2. Estimates and quotes

  • Prices shown on this website, including results from the Lawn Check price estimator and mulch calculator, are estimates only and are not binding quotes.
  • Your price is confirmed after we see the property. Slopes, obstacles, access, overgrowth, debris, and other site conditions can change the price.
  • We will not charge more than an agreed price without your approval, except for additional work you request.

3. Scheduling and weather

  • Recurring mowing is performed on the same day of the week, around the same time, whenever possible.
  • If rain or unsafe conditions prevent service on your scheduled day, we will typically return the next available day. Extended wet weather, drought, or holidays may shift the schedule.
  • Mowing frequency may be adjusted during slow growth periods (such as drought or late fall) to protect the lawn.
  • Please let us know at least 24 hours in advance if you need to skip or reschedule a visit.

4. Access to your property

Please keep gates unlocked, pets secured, and lawns reasonably clear of toys, hoses, furniture, and debris on service days. If we can't safely access the property, we may skip the visit or charge for the trip. We are not responsible for damage to items left in the lawn that are hidden in the grass, such as hoses, cables, or toys.

5. Hidden and underground items

Please tell us about invisible pet fences, irrigation heads and lines, landscape lighting, shallow utility lines, and other items that can't be seen. We will take reasonable care around marked or disclosed items, but we are not responsible for damage to unmarked or undisclosed items. For digging work such as planting, Ohio law requires utility locates through Ohio811 before excavation.

6. Lawn treatments

Fertilizer and weed-control products are applied according to label directions. Results depend on weather, watering, soil, and existing turf conditions, and may take several weeks to appear. Please follow our instructions on keeping children and pets off treated areas until dry, and on watering after certain applications.

7. Snow and ice removal

  • Snow service is offered to residential properties and small commercial lots only.
  • Service begins once snowfall reaches the agreed trigger depth. During heavy or continuous storms, properties are serviced in route order, and arrival times can vary.
  • Snow and ice conditions change constantly. Refreezing, drifting, and new precipitation can occur after we leave. Property owners remain responsible for monitoring conditions and for the safety of their property between visits.
  • We are not responsible for damage to items hidden under snow that were not marked before the season, such as landscape edging, curbs, sprinkler heads, or decorations. Please mark driveway edges and obstacles before the first snowfall.

8. Payment

  • Payment terms are provided with your quote or invoice. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due upon receipt of the invoice.
  • Past-due accounts may have service paused until the balance is paid. Reasonable fees for returned payments or collection may apply as stated on your invoice.

9. Satisfaction guarantee

100% Satisfaction Guaranteed. If something isn't right, let us know within 7 days of the service and we'll come back to make it right at no additional charge. The guarantee covers our workmanship; it does not cover weather, drought, disease, pests, pre-existing conditions, or damage caused by others.

10. Property damage

We are licensed and insured. If you believe our work caused damage, please notify us within 48 hours with photos so we can review it promptly. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or for damage caused by conditions we were not made aware of.

11. Cancelling service

Recurring mowing and maintenance have no long-term contract and can be cancelled at any time with notice before your next scheduled visit. Seasonal programs (such as fertilization or snow contracts) may have their own terms described in your agreement.

12. Using this website

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and not to interfere with its operation. Website content — including text, design, logos, and images — belongs to 4D Lawn Care or its licensors and may not be copied for commercial use without permission. 13. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, 4D Lawn Care is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim related to a service is limited to the amount paid for that service.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. Any dispute will be handled in the courts located in Lucas County, Ohio.

15. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date shows the latest version. Continued use of the website or our services means you accept the updated terms.
